My name is Glynns Thomas and as a small
business marketing expert, I own and operate Advertising Spark.

I have nearly 20 years of advertising and marketing experience working for several of the world’s leading advertising agencies and as a Vice President of Internet Marketing at Wells Fargo Bank.

Today I’m an independent, small business advertising consultant based in the San Francisco Bay Area dedicated to solving my clients’ advertising challenges locally and across the nation. I also volunteer with SCORE, Counselors to America’s Small Business providing small business advertising advice.

Why this business began

I decided to start this business after I witnessed too many small start ups overwhelmed at the idea of writing an advertising plan. Or forgoing a plan and trying random tactics with frustrating results. The major books, software programs and coaching services seemed to be too academic, not specific to a very small start up and did not understand their very real limited budgets. I wanted to use my extensive experience and knowledge to help these owners develop a real strategic direction that would make a real difference in their sales. I also saw a need for quality low cost and free tactics. So I wrote the Low Cost Advertising tutorial. It is current, affordable, provides only what a new business needs to get started (without having to wade through the rest) and still last them through their first couple of years of business...and beyond.
